IT Support Specialist 1

About This Role Veranex has an exciting opportunity to join our Information Technology team as an IT Support Specialist 1 to contribute to the management of day-to-day operations of Veranex systems and software. What You Will Do Monitor the performance and status of systems, local networks, and applications. Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and backups. Reports any issues or anomalies to senior IT staff for resolution. Provide first-level technical support to employees, helping resolve basic hardware and software issues. Log and track support requests, ensuring timely resolution. Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff or specialized teams. Assist in managing network devices, including switches, routers, and firewalls. Support the implementation of security measures to protect IT systems and data. Help maintain network documentation and diagrams. Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and common issues. Assist in creating and maintaining IT documentation, including user guides and standard operating procedures. Generate basic reports on system performance and incidents. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field, or a combination of education, training, and experience 1 to 3 years of experience in corporate IT system management and support Understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security principles Familiarity with operating systems (i.e., Windows, Linux, macOS) and basic networking concepts Good written and oral communication skills Ability to multi-task and perform a wide range of activities Ability to work under challenging deadlines Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams Veranex is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination of any kind.
