Responsible for supplier coordination, expediting, cost optimization, and ensuring compliance with procurement procedures and quality standards.Responsibilities:Negotiate annual agreements.Plan and monitor inventory levels.Follow established procedures, practices and policies to contact vendors, obtain quotations. Examine bids, make awards, place orders and expedite delivery of goods/services.Exercise judgment and working knowledge of materials and sources of supply to make purchase at a price consistent with quality, quantity, and scheduling requirementsSkills/Experience:Knowledge of MRP systems (Oracle EBS / ASCP preferred)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience in supplier negotiationEducation/Certification:Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience 7+ years of manufacturing purchasing experienceWork Environment:Possible exposure to production environment through equipment electrical hazardsTravel:Limited as neededJob SummaryRequisition Number: BUYER001676Job Category: Procurement \& Supply ChainSchedule: Full-Time
