Met’s Baseball & Softball Camps EMT/Nurse Intern Mets Baseball Camps is now hiring an Assistant Site Director who will serve as the EMT/Nurse Intern for our summer youth camps across Long Island/Brooklyn and New Jersey/Connecticut. Mets Summer Camps seeks an energetic, positive leader in the tri‑state area who inspires youth to make good choices and take responsibility for their actions—all while having a great time. We provide the equipment, training, and curriculum; you provide the leadership that ensures campers have a wonderful learning experience, leave with a love of the game, new friends, better baseball/softball skills, and an appreciation for personal accountability. We have a number of different positions across baseball and softball camps—from Coach to Site Director—and we need a variety of coaching skill levels to enhance the experience for ages 4 through 13. Check out our website at: mets.com/camps Perks Of The Job Work outdoors with young campers and connect with others who share similar interests Share knowledge of baseball/softball with campers and enhance their Mets Camps experience Make a positive difference in the lives of our youth Help young people develop a love of the game and the New York Mets Be eligible for free tickets to selected New York Mets home games Participate in our end‑of‑summer rally at Citi Field We Are Looking For An Assistant Site Director Who Has experience working with children ages 4‑13 Has experience coaching and/or playing baseball/softball at a high school level or higher Is CPR/AED and First‑Aid certified Is interested in gaining unique experience in the healthcare field Can connect with children both one‑on‑one and in a group setting Leads by example with strong character, integrity, and a positive attitude Is dependable and reliable; someone we can count on to be there, no matter what Core Responsibilities Ensure a safe camp environment for all staff, campers, and parents Administer first‑aid properly as needed to campers and staff, and manage inventory of first‑aid supplies Manage medications for campers with life‑threatening allergies and other medical needs (e.g., EpiPens) and ensure each camp coach is aware of their campers who require extra attention Communicate to parents and headquarters regarding injuries, illnesses, and incidents that occur at camp Maintain detailed health records of campers Work proactively with all camp staff to ensure a preemptive approach is taken, minimizing injury and risk Assist with resolving camper conflicts and creating a positive, friendly environment for all involved in camp Assist with the production and organization of essential camp reports including attendance, employee timekeeping, and customer‑service records Conduct health checks and provide day‑to‑day medical care Qualifications Be prepared to make a 9‑week commitment Monday‑Friday for approximately eight hours per day Mets Baseball & Softball Camps run every week from June 15, 2026 to August 21, 2026 Be prepared to travel to each site with reliable personal transportation Be able to pass a comprehensive background screening Is CPR/AED and First‑Aid certified Be interested in gaining unique experience in the healthcare field Camp Locations Include Fairfield, CT Westport, CT Stamford, CT Mount Pleasant, NY Darien, CT Mamaroneck, NY Hartsdale, NY Centereach, NY New Canaan, CT Manhattan, NY Huntington, NY Brooklyn, NY Bayside, NY Elmont, NY Stony Brook, NY Smithtown, NY Rye, NY West Windsor, NJ North Caldwell, NJ Millburn, NJ Our Interview Process After your application is submitted, here is what you can expect next: Receive an invitation to complete a one‑way interview Complete a 15‑minute virtual interview with one of our recruiters Complete a 20‑minute virtual interview with our Executive Director Final decision!
