American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a float pool position requiring 2+ years of experience and willingness to float between multiple facilities.

Float pool position covering Med/Surg, Med/Surg/Tele, and Transitional Care units

Patient-to-nurse ratio of 6:1

Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 3x12-hour shifts

Must work at least 6 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) during the 13-week contract

Required to float between four facilities within the health system

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Active AZ or compact RN license required

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment

2+ years of recent RN experience required

Any scrub color permitted

Valid driver's license and US SSN required for consideration

No gaps in work history of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Provide direct patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy

Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in care planning and delivery

Delegate and supervise patient care tasks according to staff education and experience

Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education

Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered

RTO requests must be less than one week

Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any facility within the health system in the past 2 years
