We are seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our dental care team and support patients in maintaining excellent oral health. The ideal candidate will conduct initial patient screenings, perform thorough teeth cleanings, and educate patients on preventative care. Working closely with dentists, you will assist in treatment planning and handle dental emergencies when they arise. A strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach toward patients of all ages are essential for success in this role. Our hygienist will utilize standard dental instruments, digital X-Ray machines, electronic health records (Dentrix), and advanced sterilization equipment. This role is a part time position and we have availability on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial mouth screenings and review oral health history
• Identify oral diseases such as gingivitis, caries, and periodontitis
• Clean teeth by removing plaque and applying fluoride treatments
• Take dental X-rays and impressions using digital equipment
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventative care
• Assist dentists in selecting appropriate treatments for dental conditions
• Sterilize dental instruments using advanced equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
• Ensure patients feel comfortable and informed during procedures
• Monitor and manage dental supplies

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or related role
• Valid license to practice as a Dental Hygienist
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations including HIPAA compliance
• Diploma in Dental Hygiene; associate degree preferred
• Excellent communication skills with a patient and friendly demeanor
• Physical stamina to meet job demands

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered Dental Hygienist license
• Valid Dental License
• Experience in dental radiography and oral health assessment
• Strong attention to detail and documentation management skills
• Empathy and effective patient communication
• Familiarity with preventative dental care best practices
