Quality Inspector

Arcal Precision Components is a precision CNC machine shop in Tucson, Arizona, manufacturing close‑tolerance components for aerospace and defense customers. We are a small, tight‑knit team, and our Quality Inspector plays a central role in everything we ship. This is a hands‑on inspection role that reports to the Quality Manager and works directly with the QM and other shop teammates, verifying that parts conform to engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements from receiving through final shipment. What You’ll Do Assist and perform first‑article, in‑process, and final inspections on precision‑machined parts Read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T (ASME Y14.5) Complete inspection reports, certifications, and shipment paperwork required by customers Identify and document nonconforming material; support root cause and corrective actions Maintain calibration records and support our ISO 9001 / AS9100‑based quality system What You Need 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment Blueprint reading and basic GD&T Experience working with standard inspection tools such as optical comparators, CMMs, and hand instruments including calipers and gauges Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation habits High school diploma or equivalent Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident), due to the defense‑related nature of our work Nice to Have Aerospace or defense experience under AS9100 or ISO 9001; first‑article inspection (AS9102) a plus DCC CMM programming experience Experience using shop computer software to enter inspection results and retrieve drawings and tolerance information Machine tool technology or quality coursework or certificate (e.g., Pima Community College) #J-18808-Ljbffr
