ROLE OVERVIEW Our Environmental team is seeking an Environmental Technician to join us in the Bridgeport, WV office. As a member of this collaborative team, you would join a group of engineers, designers, scientists, and technicians working on a wide range of projects for both public and private clients. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Identify and classify streams and wetlands Perform environmental compliance and inspection Support wetland assessment and delineation field efforts, collecting appropriate field data relative to vegetation, soils, and hydrology Prepare reports for review Assist in the preparation of other environmental regulatory compliance documents Prepare and submit permit applications in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations Document field observations and site conditions accurately and thoroughly Prepare detailed project reports that meet company, client, and agency standards Provide regular updates on project status, including milestones and deliverables Contribute to the overall success of projects by collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders WHAT YOU'LL BRING Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or another related discipline A minimum of 1 year of experience performing field wetland delineations is preferred Overall knowledge of the permitting process, including prior experience coordinating permit applications, is highly desired Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write descriptive and technically accurate reports Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently BENEFITS We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance; flexible spending and dependent care accounts; a Health Savings Account with company contributions; company-paid short- and long-term disability; and a $100,000 life insurance policy paid for by the company.
