Do you have great work ethics? Position Summary: This position is responsible for Maintain an automated production line, in the Department of Maintenance. The duties outlined in this Job Description are expected to be completed in a professional, safe and quality minded manner, and per all Company Policies, Procedures and additional expectations as outlined by position Supervisor. Major Job Responsibilities: TheMechanic will: Perform job duties in compliance with site safety rules and notify appropriate management of any safety hazards, with the intent of supporting an injury-free work environment. Support the company’s quality and safety initiatives Abide by job related procedures, work instructions and other guidelines designed to help ensure the quality of the finished product. Maintain an automated continuous production line and building support systems, working in a team environment Monitor plant mechanical systems and repair or supervise the repair of company mechanical assets, including control systems (PLCs), stepper motors and drives, and inverters Work with maintenance team to analyze and minimize mechanical downtime Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery Be available for rotating on-call duty on nights and weekends to assist production in the event of a serious mechanical breakdown Keep work stations clean, neat, and organized Perform any other maintenance tasks assigned by the Facilities Manager Additional Job-Related Responsibilities: Flexibility in shift scheduling Maintenance Day Overtime as required by Supervisor / Project Professional Behavior Projects as assigned Maintain Safe Work Practices Cross Train – Other related positions or work areas Job Specific Requirements: Physicality: Occasionally lift, push, pull items 50 – 100 lbs. Routinely lift, push, pull items up to 50 lbs Stand/Walk 8-12 hours per shift Expected Work Schedule / Shift: Shift – A B C or D Night / Day Education / Skills: High school diploma or GED, with a two-year degree in mechanical or similar field preferred Five years of experience in the maintenance field, with experience in working with continuous process manufacturing machinery a plus Knowledge of automated control systems proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English Manufacturing Experience Forklift or other equipment experience Communication Skills Computer Skills if applicable Ability to work with others and in team environment, or as an individual General: Follow all Company Policies / Procedures Professionalism and Respect towards all members of Spuntech Team Provide mentorship as needed Diligence in Quality and Safety in all areas of your work performance and practices Reports to Facilities Manager Functional Reporting to Maintenance Specialist #J-18808-Ljbffr
