Software Developer in Test

Salary: $120,000 - 160,000 per year Requirements:

• 3–5 years of professional experience in software testing or development, including 3–6 years of software quality assurance experience as an SDET
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET Core/6+ ecosystem
• Experience with Playwright, preferred, or Selenium for cross-browser testing
• Hands-on experience testing RESTful APIs with tools such as RestSharp or Playwrights API testing capabilities
• Ability to write SQL queries to validate data integrity and prepare test data
• Expert knowledge of Git, including branching, merging, and rebasing
• Experience with Snowflake, Microsoft Teams, flowchart tools such as Lucidchart, and Figma
• Ability to identify cost-effective ways to improve ongoing QA efforts
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to communicate with management, customers, vendors, business partners, and cross-functional teams
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects, troubleshoot unfamiliar problems, work independently with general guidance, and make sound business decisions
• Ability to consolidate ideas and collaborate with cross-functional working groups
• QA or testing certifications, such as ISTQB, are an asset
• Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, and knowledge of CI/CD processes
• Four years of software engineering experience in a healthcare finance setting is preferred
• Direct healthcare finance experience is preferred, particularly managing self-funded medical benefit plans or healthcare provider connectivity

• Build and maintain automated test frameworks from the ground up using C# and Playwright
• Work with developers and product managers to identify high-risk areas and establish automation coverage for web applications and APIs
• Integrate automated test suites into Azure pipelines to support continuous testing and shift-left practices
• Review application and test code pull requests, promoting SOLID principles and clean coding standards
• Investigate flaky tests and production defects, identify root causes, and provide stakeholders with detailed technical reports and metrics
• Communicate QA status, progress, and risks to management
• Advise the team on project status and opportunities for improvement
• Comply with obligations concerning protected health information under HIPAA, report discovered violations to the Compliance Officer and/or Human Resources, and complete required HIPAA training
