Physical Therapist Assistant (Full-Time)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Additional Requirements: Every 4th weekend and 2-3 holidays per year

Are you passionate about helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life? Join our team as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and work alongside skilled physical therapists to deliver high-quality, compassionate care across a variety of patient populations.

What You'll Do

• Provide hands-on physical therapy treatments based on plans of care developed by a licensed Physical Therapist

• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates or recommended adjustments to the supervising therapist

• Assist in the evaluation and care of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients within scope of practice

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of treatments, patient progress, and any changes in condition

• Support safe patient transport when needed, ensuring comfort and professionalism at all times

• Maintain a clean, organized treatment environment and assist with departmental operations

• Collaborate with clinical support staff, volunteers, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes

Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and professional development opportunities

• Accurately complete charge capture and statistical reporting

• Rotate through treatment areas as needed to support patient care and operational needs

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program (APTA-accredited preferred)

• Strong understanding of patient care across all age groups (pediatric through geriatric)

• Ability to read, interpret, and document medical information accurately

• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care

• Ability to work collaboratively with therapists, healthcare teams, and support staff

• Completion of all required onboarding, orientation, and competency programs

Note: May work in areas where medications are stored; no direct handling of medications is required.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license (or eligibility) in the practicing state

• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification required within 30 days of hire (AHA-compliant, including skills demonstration)

• Act 33 Clearance (with renewal as required)

• Act 34 Clearance (with renewal as required)

• Act 73 FBI Clearance (with renewal as required)
