Key Responsibilities

• Administer breathing treatments and manage ventilators across inpatient units, ICU, and the Emergency Department, with potential for up to 8–9 simultaneous ventilator patients in the ICU
• Draw and run arterial blood gas (ABG) samples and assist with intubation procedures as needed
• Perform inpatient and outpatient EKGs within assigned coverage areas
• Provide respiratory care in a pediatric inpatient unit and family birthing unit, including initiating CPAP on infants when required
• Assist with outpatient bronchoscopies in a procedural setting
• Operate a variety of ventilator and respiratory equipment including Puritan Bennett 840, Hamilton C1, Avea, BiPAP V60, and Vapotherm high flow systems

Required Qualifications

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential via NBRC required; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
• Active BLS certification required
• ACLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS, and STABLE certifications required
• Demonstrated experience in ER, ICU, and inpatient adult respiratory care
• Ability to assist with intubation; independent intubation not required
• Valid, unexpired driver's license required — copy must be submitted with application

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric respiratory therapy experience preferred; facility is willing to train qualified candidates
• Familiarity with Puritan Bennett 840, Hamilton C1, Avea, BiPAP V60, or Vapotherm high flow systems
• Experience in a facility with a family birthing unit or neonatal CPAP initiation
