Reports To: Training Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-exempt Pay Band: 5 Wage Range: $19.61-$27.41 Shifts: 12hr days *Base pay is based on job-related skills, experience, credentials, role scope, and location. Job Summary: A Production Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that ensure employees have the knowledge, skills and competencies required to perform production tasks safely, efficiently and to quality standards. This role supports onboarding, upskilling, process improvements and compliance initiatives within the production environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Training and Development

This job operates in a Manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job inside the manufacturing facility, the employee is frequently exposed to normal to moderate working conditions for a manufacturing facility with a noise level that is usually moderate to loud. The role routinely uses printing equipment and machines.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee may be required to stand for long periods of time as well as use hands or fingers to reach or handle, and to reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee will regularly lift 70lbs or more at a time. All vision abilities are required to encompass close-up work. Employees must be able to tolerate and endure extended seasonal hours and maintain alertness to meet deadlines. Occasionally while performing duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to machinery and moving parts, airborne particles including paper dust and hazardous materials or fumes, which may require the use of PPE. The employee may be exposed to adverse weather conditions, extended seasonal hours, high precarious places, and confined spaces. The nose level in some of the work environments may require the use of hearing protection.

- Conduct hands-on training for new hires and existing employees on production processes, equipment operation, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Develop, support and maintain training materials such as SOPs, job aids, videos, checklists and presentations.
- Maintain Training Schedules and ensure all required certifications are completed on time.
- Assess worker skill levels and recommend additional coaching or retraining as needed.
- Lead orientation and on-the-job training for new production employees.
- Partner with supervisors to ensure smooth transition of new employees into their roles.
- Track progress and provide feedback to trainees and management.
- Collaborate with production, quality and safety teams to ensure training aligns with current processes and regulatory requirements.
- Observe production activities and identify opportunities for process improvements or safety enhancements.
- Reinforce adherence to SOPs, quality standards and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records, certifications, and competency assessments.
- Ensure training programs comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with audits by providing training documentation when needed.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to production staff.
- Communicate changes in procedures, equipment, or expectations clearly and effectively.
- Create a positive learning environment that promotes employee engagement continuous improvement.
- Follow all Nahan Safety and Quality Standards.
- Work assigned shifts, including weekends and overtime, as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Leader.
- Ability to create training materials and adapt training instructions with a person-centered approach.
- Effectively coaches and inspires others by leading by example, promoting teamwork and continuous learning.
- Able to assess situations quickly, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions that support safe, efficient, and high-quality production operations.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical specifications, displaying a strong attention to detail.
- Proficient with basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, training software).
- Ability to work independently, part of a team, displaying patience and resilience in challenging situations; ability to create and support a calm learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management skills and organizational skills.
- Proficiency/fluent with English language, both written and verbal.
- Secondary language in Spanish or others, value added.
