Construction Safety Coordinator Location: Asheville, OH Duration: 12-18 Months (Start: 10/5) Type: 1099 Contractor Compensation & Schedule Pay Rate: $52/hr Per Diem: None Completion Bonus: $150/month Pay Frequency: Weekly Schedule: Monday-Friday | 40 Hours Per Week Additional Schedule Details: Possible Saturday work as construction activity ramps up throughout the project lifecycle. The Construction Safety Coordinator will provide daily field safety oversight for subcontractors, craft personnel, and supervision while ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and project-specific safety requirements. Required Qualifications OSHA 30 Construction Certification Current CPR / First Aid / AED Certification Minimum 5+ Years of Construction Safety Experience Preferred Experience conducting field audits, inspections, observations, and hazard assessments Strong working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards Ability to maintain a highly visible field presence on active construction sites Preferred Qualifications Data Center Construction Experience Commercial Construction Experience Mission-Critical Construction Experience Contractor Safety Management Experience CHST, ASP, CSP, OHST, STSC, or Other BCSP Credential Experience Supporting Multi-Employer Construction Sites What You'll Be Doing Provide daily field safety oversight for data center construction activities Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments Monitor subcontractor work activities and ongoing construction operations Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project Technical Knowledge Candidates Should Have Working Knowledge Of OSHA Construction Standards Data Center Construction Safety Commercial Construction Operations Contractor Safety Management Material Handling Operations Fall Protection & Elevated Work Aerial Lifts & MEWPs Housekeeping & Site Logistics Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions Safety Audits & Compliance Inspections Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation Multi-Employer Worksite Safety Coordination What Success Looks Like The ideal candidate is a hands-on, field-focused safety professional who is comfortable working directly with subcontractors and craft personnel in a fast-paced construction environment.
