Store Associate / Receiver

Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Store Receiver to join our cross-functional retail team. This role combines essential warehouse receiving duties with frequent direct customer service, ideal for candidates who enjoy working actively with inventory and assisting customers in a fast-paced retail environment. The Store Receiver will play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory and supporting store operations while providing outstanding service.

Responsibilities

Unload incoming deliveries safely and efficiently
Verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders
Inspect merchandise for damage and report discrepancies
Receive inventory into the proprietary inventory system
Organize and stock merchandise in appropriate locations
Assist with maintaining accurate inventory levels
Keep receiving and warehouse areas clean and organized
Help customers locate products and answer questions
Operate cash registers and process customer transactions when needed
Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising, and store appearance
Provide outstanding customer service at all times

Required Qualifications

Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
Strong attention to detail
Basic computer skills
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

Entry-level experience in warehouse or retail receiving
Forklift certification or forklift operation experience
Experience with inventory management systems
Customer service experience
Physical stamina for regular heavy lifting
