Clinical Lab Associate I

POSITION SUMMARY Natera is currently seeking a Clinical Laboratory Associate to analyze laboratory specimens following the standard methods and procedures while maintaining equipment and instruments in good operating condition by troubleshooting malfunctions as needed. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in testing patient samples according to standard operating procedure in an efficient manner with little to no errors Maintain an updated understanding and knowledge of methods performed in the lab Follow GLP (good laboratory practice): keep the workspace clean and organized Complete training and other deadlines on time Recognize and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions; handle common lab errors Document and report protocol deviations in the lab to lead/supervisor Communicate with team and other departments (including via email) Provide feedback on day-to-day schedule and tasks to lead/supervisor Assist teammates in completing daily tasks Conduct oneself in a professional manner Adhere to departmental expectations Work with PHI on a regular basis in paper and electronic form, and access various technologies to access PHI in order to perform the job Complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training, and security training within the first 30 days of hire Maintain a current status on Natera training requirements Perform other duties as assigned Must be able to discern color visually or evaluate cellular morphology when applicable and pass applicable screening assessment. QUALIFICATIONS BS/BA in a biological science or similar field of study 0–2 years of industry‑related experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Excellent interpersonal, communication, computer, and pipetting skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Word processing and data management skills Ability to work various shifts, weekends, and/or overtime as required Compensation & Total Rewards This range reflects a good‑faith estimate of the base pay we reasonably expect to offer at the time of hire. Final compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and skills considerations.
