Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice Service Electrician with at least 2 years of electrical experience to join our team. The Apprentice Service Electrician will assist in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in commercial and light industrial environments . This role offers the opportunity to further develop technical skills while working under the guidance of experienced electricians in a service-based, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues in commercial and light industrial settings

• Support service calls, repairs, and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment

• Install, repair, and replace wiring, conduit, panels, breakers, outlets, and lighting systems under supervision

• Read and interpret basic electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents

• Assist with testing electrical systems and components to ensure proper functionality

• Follow all NEC codes, local regulations, and OSHA safety standards

• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in clean and organized condition

• Accurately document work performed and assist with completing service reports

• Communicate professionally with team members, supervisors, and customers on job sites

• Assist with material handling, inventory, and job site preparation

• Participate in ongoing training and develop technical and troubleshooting skills

• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required

• Minimum of 2+ years of electrical experience , preferably in commercial or light industrial environments

• Enrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program preferred

• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and NEC code requirements

• Strong willingness to learn and grow within the electrical trade

• Ability to follow directions and work effectively under supervision

• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods

• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions

• Ability to safely use hand and power tools
