OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content. Must maintain on‑call availability for emergencies Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of broadcast technologies, including RF systems, IP networking, and digital video/audio tech. Provide hands‑on support for the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide range of broadcast equipment and systems Strategic Thinker: Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions Excellent Communicator: Ability to present complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences and collaborate with diverse stakeholders Innovative Mindset: Experience driving innovation and implementing new technologies Qualifications: 5+ years in broadcast technology, with 3+ years in a leadership role preferred, not required Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in broadcasting, electronics, computer science, or related field, preferred, not required SBE and IT certifications are a plus Experience working with and troubleshooting critical broadcast equipment, including: Transmission systems Studio production systems Control room automation Graphics platforms Master control operations Strong understanding of IP‑based video/audio workflows, networking protocols, and cybersecurity best practices Familiarity with newsroom computer systems and media asset management systems Knowledge of HDR and SMPTE 2110 standards Experience supporting live remote broadcasts using various delivery technologies Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach technical staff Understanding of industry standards, regulations and compliance requirements Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic facilities‑related issues (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) Strong grasp of capital and operating budgets and procurement process Ability to perform under pressure in a fast‑paced, 24/7 broadcast environment Experience working in a union environment Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, sit, kneel, crouch as needed Work Schedule: Full‑time, regular schedule with on‑call responsibilities for emergencies Occasional travel to transmitter and translator locations Flexibility to support operations outside standard business hours when necessary We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $80,000.00‑90,000.00 annually.
