Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical/Surgical/Telemetry (MS/TELE) Float Pool. This role requires flexibility to float to various units and may include assignments at multiple locations in the region. The position is available for night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a float capacity across different units.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in health status.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Participate in required training and continuing education programs.
• Be available for holiday shifts and every other weekend as per staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in Nursing is required.
• Certifications:
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • American Red Cross certification is acceptable.
• Licenses:
  • Must possess a current Registered Nurse license from the State of Alabama or a Compact license (temporary licenses are not accepted).
  • NURSYS registration is required.
• Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years of overall nursing experience is required, with consideration for candidates with 18 months of direct experience under the highest level of professional license.
  • At least 1 year of recent experience in the field of specialty is necessary.

Work Hours

This position is available for 36 or 48 hours per week. Shift requirements include nights, with flexibility to float as needed across various units.
