About the Role

Are you passionate about driving operational excellence and elevating content strategy? Join our Chief Marketing Office (CMO) as a Senior Content Operations Manager, covering a key leadership gap during a team member’s maternity leave. In this high-impact role, you will be instrumental in scaling modern content capabilities, optimizing processes, and enhancing cross-functional collaboration to deliver business value across marketing teams.

This position acts as a critical operational and change leader—bridging strategic vision and tactical execution. You will enable high performance through effective learning programs, streamlined workflows, and fostering adoption of innovative content practices and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Learning & Enablement: Develop and implement structured training and enablement programs to onboard and upskill cross-functional teams on new content capabilities, tools, and processes.
• Content Operations Oversight: Lead the end-to-end management and governance of content operations, ensuring efficient workflows and alignment across diverse stakeholders.
• Process Enhancement: Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks, design scalable processes, and accelerate speed-to-market by optimizing approvals and asset management.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Facilitate impactful meetings, forums, and review sessions. Drive clarity, consensus, and effective action across creative, regulatory, and executive teams.
• Change Management: Deliver targeted change management, communications, and documentation to support adoption of new technologies and best-in-class content management practices, including enabling generative AI tools.
• Continuous Improvement: Measure and analyze key operational metrics to drive ongoing optimization of content operations and workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 5–7+ years of experience in content operations, marketing operations, or creative project management
• Demonstrated success managing content workflows, digital asset management systems, and multi-channel operations at scale

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech marketing processes (e.g., MLR/PRC)
• Proficiency with enterprise CMS and DAM platforms (e.g., Veeva Vault, Adobe Experience Manager)
• Knowledge of Agile marketing frameworks and modern content technologies (including AI solutions)
• Strong track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams in a regulated industry
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills

Additional Information

• This is a temporary role (6 months) with the potential for extension or permanent placement based on business needs and individual performance.
• Previous experience with Genentech or demonstrated career longevity is a plus.
