Qc Microbiologist I

PCI Pharma Services seeks a QC Microbiologist to conduct environmental monitoring and testing in cGMP manufacturing facilities. The role involves sampling and testing production environments, clean utilities, and water systems, with responsibilities for lab work, protocol execution, and staff training.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine environmental monitoring of classified clean rooms during manufacturing operations
• Sample and test Water for Injection, USP Purified Water, and Clean Steam systems with documentation
• Write, execute, and review protocols, experiments, and SOPs with limited supervision
• Conduct visual inspection of media fill vials and plates; perform general lab maintenance
• Train staff on routine processes and assist senior staff with investigations and complex protocols

Requirements

• 3-5 years experience in cGMP pharmaceutical environment
• Associate degree or non-scientific bachelor's degree (replaces 2 years experience)
• Bachelor's degree in microbiology or related scientific field (may replace 4 years experience)
• Ability to gown qualify for classified clean room access
• Environmental monitoring and microbiological testing proficiency
