Overview Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele, Plattsburgh, NY, US. Travel assignment starting 09/03/2026 for 4 weeks. Weekly pay $2,142–$2,286 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights. Hospital setting with a Med Surg Tele unit and ED Hold/Resource Float duties. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,142–$2,286 per week Assignment duration: 4 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour Night shifts Start date: 09/03/2026 Setting: Med/Surg Tele unit in a hospital Orientation: One day prior to start Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care for adult medical-surgical telemetry patients, including oncology, ortho, and urology populations; administer medications, monitor vitals, manage IV therapy and IV pumps. Perform bladder scans, glucose monitoring, blood draws (including from central lines) per orders; document in EPIC and MAK medication system. Monitor patient status, interpret changes, implement care plans, and elevate to the care team as needed; ensure patient safety and comfort. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (physicians, case management, ancillary staff) to coordinate care and discharge planning; participate in change of shift handoffs. Float to R5/R6/R7 tele units as assigned and assist with ED Hold admissions; adhere to unit policies and infection prevention standards. Provide patient and family education, documentation of care, and adherence to credentialing and Epic documentation requirements. Requirements New York RN license on file at time of submission BLS required; NIHSS required prior to starting; CMSRN preferred Epic experience within the past 2 years; nonnegotiable Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience; 1 year in Med Surg Tele preferred Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts; must be willing to rotate and work every other weekend as scheduled Reliable transportation; public transit is not available in the area; travel assignments require personal or rental vehicle Ability to work across Tele units and ED Hold; strong teamwork and adaptability Benefits and Support One day of orientation prior to start Credentialing and onboarding support for Epic and NIHSS requirements Unit-specific float coverage to support patient care needs Ongoing travel staffing support and access to a dedicated recruiter PAY DISCLAIMER RULE Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
