Job Opportunity: Assistant OBGYN Residency Program Director

Our organization, a prominent health system in central Ohio, is on the lookout for an Assistant OBGYN Residency Program Director to join our ACGME accredited joint residency program in collaboration with a leading university. This residency program accommodates a total of 44 residents and is supported by a dedicated team of OBGYN faculty and full-time Academic OB Hospitalists who ensure 24/7 coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize, coordinate, and oversee various components of the integrated OBGYN Residency Program in alignment with ACGME standards.
• Stay updated on clinical advancements and practices within the field of OBGYN.
• Engage actively in professional activities that enhance resident training, both in clinical and educational settings.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to OBGYN residents during didactic and clinical educational sessions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Extensive knowledge and experience in graduate medical education within an ACGME accredited teaching hospital and OBGYN program.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with resident physicians, teaching faculty, hospital administration, and other associates.
• A genuine passion for leadership development and mentoring residents.
• Possession of a full and unrestricted medical license from the Ohio State Medical Board, along with current OBGYN Board Certification.

About Our OBGYN Program

Our OBGYN services are offered at multiple locations, including Mount Carmel East, Mount Carmel St. Ann's, and Mount Carmel Grove City. We collaborate with a university to provide a comprehensive residency program for 44 residents. Our commitment extends to serving the underserved communities in Columbus, managing high-risk pregnancies, and operating Level III NICUs. We also employ Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists across all campuses.

Graduate Medical Education at Our Organization

Our Graduate Medical Education program provides residents with unique training experiences across three distinct hospitals, each catering to different patient demographics, along with access to a state-of-the-art simulation center. Mount Carmel Grove City serves as our primary training site, offering residents a diverse clinical experience through various rotations. Currently, we have five ACGME accredited residency programs, including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, OBGYN, Orthopedics, and General Surgery.
