Job Description

The OR Nurse performs the perioperative nursing role crucial for patient care during surgery. This includes preoperative assessment, nursing care plan formulation, operative care plan implementation, and postoperative evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preoperative assessments of the patient.
• Formulate and implement nursing care plans.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and site preparation.
• Assist in surgical procedures by setting up equipment and performing sterile technique.
• Perform surgical counts and document nursing care records accurately.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and safety in the operating room post-surgery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN License.
• One (1) year of surgical experience required.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
