Become a vital part of a hospital radiology team in Myrtle Beach, SC as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will accurately follow physician scanning instructions, administer contrast agents when indicated, and operate CT equipment while performing routine CT and diagnostic X-ray procedures for a free-standing emergency department setting. You will document procedures in Meditech and work independently to manage an average case load of approximately 10–20 CT exams per shift.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years CT technologist experience.
• Completion of a JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology program.
• Current ARRT (Radiography) certification.
• State radiologic technologist license required (SC QRSA or equivalent).
• BLS certification.
• Experience with CT scanning and diagnostic radiography required.
• Experience using Meditech or similar electronic documentation systems preferred.
• Proficiency with multi-slice CT scanners (GE 64-slice experience preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

• CT certification preferred.
• Previous emergency department or free-standing ED imaging experience preferred.
• Ability to function independently in a small-staff environment preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900–0700.
• Call requirement: approximately 2 call shifts per month.
• Primary equipment: GE 64-slice CT, GE digital x-ray, and GE portable x-ray.
• Typical patient volume: approximately 10–20 CT exams per shift.

Impacting Patient Care

Your role will support timely imaging in a free-standing emergency department, contributing to rapid diagnosis and treatment. You will collaborate with emergency clinicians, maintain imaging equipment competency, and follow safety and contrast administration protocols to ensure patient-centered care.
