Lab Technician / Madison, WI (On-Site)

Fortrea seeks a lab technician for its Madison clinical research unit to perform sample processing in Phase 1 trials. The role involves specimen handling, laboratory equipment operation, and direct interaction with study participants in a fast-paced research environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory sample processing following established procedures for specimen handling
• Operate laboratory equipment and maintain equipment functionality through regular cleaning
• Identify deviations from expected results and implement appropriate corrective actions
• Participate in biological specimen collection and resolve processing-related issues
• Manage laboratory inventory of reagents and supplies to maintain operational continuity

Requirements

• Associate degree preferred or equivalent relevant laboratory experience
• Minimum one year of laboratory experience
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment operation and specimen handling
• Ability to work upright or stationary for 6-8 hours daily
• Competency with computer software systems and data management
• Physical capability for repetitive hand movements and occasional lifting up to 20 lbs
