Food Service Assistant

Food Service AssistantHollis Elementary School (1) Position: 4 hours per day (10:15am-2:15pm)Duties include, but are not limited to:Preparing and serving food (may include cooking and baking).Assisting with cleaning the kitchen, serving, and eating areas.Maintaining all applicable health and sanitation standards.Operating a Computerized Accountability System.Attending staff training as needed.Qualifications:Education: High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Current CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) is required if offered the position.Experience: Prior successful school Food Service experience is a plus.Physical Requirements: Evidence of ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, stand for periods of time as long as 6+ hours on a cement/tile kitchen floor, work in a potentially hot and humid environment.Good math skills are a must.Knowledge of weight scales and sanitation is a plus.Ability to read and follow a recipe.Must be willing to learn and run a Computerized Accountability System.Excellent team worker.Wage Scale: $21.88 - $25.75 per hour based on experience.
