About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid Michigan license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM Must-Have: - Must have experience in OB, Mother/Baby, and Labor & Delivery - No RTO for the first two weeks of the contract - Will float to the house as sitter when needed Description: Holiday coverage is required; however, any time off requested during holidays must remain flexible to accommodate staffing demands. Patient ratios follow established guidelines for staffing. Additional requirements include working in all areas of LDRP. Will work every other weekend. No call required. The unit has 15 beds, with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms. RNs provide antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, scrub nurse, newborn nurse at delivery, and couplet care. Our nurses perform lab draws and hearing screens on newborns. Training will be provided to complete newborn infant hearing screens using specialized equipment. Scrubs will be provided. Travelers must include proof of flu vaccination with submission. If seeking vaccination exemption, it must be submitted within the required timeframe. References are required. Modules are non-billable, completed during orientation, and annually self-reported.
