About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Pending License accepted Certifications: ACLS, BCLS Must-Have: IV Start required; Telemetry required Description: Can sign for 36 or 48 hours per week. Will float within scope to meet facility needs. The nurses will float to Med Surg, Trauma, Oncology, Heart and Vascular, Neuro, Medicine, ED Holding/Boarding, and COVID. Some floors are primary nursing. The expectation is that nurses will float from shift to shift to all inpatient areas except specified units. MS/Tele Float Ratios: 1:4-6. First-timers accepted: No. Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. On-call Requirement: No. Open to accommodating block schedule: No. Local candidates not accepted within specific radius. RTO Restrictions: No more than 7 days of RTO. Special Requirements: IV Start and Telemetry skills are necessary. Strong, independent, experienced nurses are needed to float across the facility. Patient Age Groups include adults and geriatrics. Daily Census and number of beds was significant. Interdisciplinary support services include physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. Patient diagnoses encountered will include Med Surg, Trauma, Oncology, Heart and Vascular, Neuro, Medicine, and COVID. Travel experience is required. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and additional skills related to chemotherapy and cardiac telemetry are necessary. All travelers will float within service lines. No RTO is allowed during the first week of the assignment.
