CNC Setup Operator

Our client, a manufacturing industry leader, is seeking a CNC Setup Operator to join their team. As a CNC Setup Operator, you will be part of the Machine Center Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: CNC Setup Operator
Location: Hamilton, OH
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
Shift: 1st shift 6am-4pm (Monday-Thursday, with availability to work overtime on Fridays)
What's the Job?
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills safely and efficiently
- Callup programs and set-up tooling for CNC machines
- Edit CNC lathe programs as necessary to ensure optimal performance
- Measure parts and make tool corrections during production runs
- Instruct less skilled employees in CNC machine operation and setup
What's Needed?
- Technical college education or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of experience operating, setting up, and programming CNC mills and manual milling equipment
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and product specifications
- Proficiency with gages and measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
