About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Rotating Shifts Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years in emergency medicine License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS required; TNCC and ENPC preferred Must-Have: Competency with Epic EMR is required Description: The main campus Emergency Department is a Level III Trauma Center with 38 beds and 2 trauma bays. It ranks among the top 10 busiest Emergency Departments in Ohio. The assignment consists of 36 hours per week on a rotating evening shift schedule. Shifts may be scheduled from 3 PM to 3:30 AM or 3 PM to 7 PM. Every other weekend is required as well as participation in the holiday rotation. Requests for excessive time off around holidays will not be approved. Taking call is not expected and should be a rare request. Candidates must have completed at least 3 Emergency Department assignments or have 3 years of current/recent Emergency Department experience. BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications are mandatory. TNCC and ENPC certifications are strongly preferred but not required. It is essential that candidates have competency with Epic EMR, as this experience will be a determining factor for consideration. All requested time off must be disclosed upfront.
