Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced OR RN to provide specialized perioperative nursing care for surgical patients. This on-call position requires flexibility for weekend coverage and adherence to high standards of practice.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients during preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
• Scrub or circulate surgical cases, maintaining adherence to AORN standards.
• Supervise and direct ancillary nursing personnel to ensure quality patient care.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Manage emergency or crisis situations with composure and clinical competence.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA Risk Category I protocols and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid CA RN license with Nursys verification within the last 2 weeks.
• BLS and ACLS certifications with current expiration dates.
• Minimum of 3+ years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year of travel experience.
• Proven expertise in general, ortho, vascular, trauma, and neuro surgery.
• Strong ability to assess fine distinctions in sound and work effectively with bodily fluids and substances.
• Ability to handle a wide variety of patient circumstances and adapt to unpredictable situations.
