Job Description
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist


Profession: Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Experience: Minimum of 18 months of recent ICU experience required


License: IN license required


Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, RRT


Must-Have: Written confirmation from the candidate that they are comfortable with the requirement to work every other weekend


Description:
Prescreening question: Candidates must provide written confirmation of weekend requirements.


NBRC (RRT) certification is mandatory.


Candidates will be required to work every other weekend.


First-time travelers are accepted.


Candidates must have two years of experience, including 18 months of recent ICU experience.


Education must be accredited through CoARC and regionally accredited through CHEA.


Effective November 30, 2024, certain IN RNs will not be permitted to work at facilities, with specified exceptions.


Candidates may need to float between facilities.


Floating is a 100% requirement for all travelers.


Candidates must be willing to perform duties related to adult critical care.


Candidates should be skilled in various respiratory procedures, including the interpretation of arterial blood gases and troubleshooting equipment.


Candidates are also expected to assist with intubation and the management of tracheostomy care.


Two supervisor references are required.


All candidates must hold a valid license prior to the start date.


Temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license applications have been submitted.


Candidates must be available to work during major holidays.


Local residents are considered local travelers and have specific rules regarding travel eligibility.


Travelers must meet compliance and background policies prior to consideration for the position.


This position requires comprehensive experience in the field and a commitment to patient care.
