Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

BLS Certification
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - ARRT (N)
Certified Nuclear Cardiology Technologist

Must-Have: No special skills outside IV starts

Description:
Profiles will go directly to the unit for consideration.
Candidates may not have been directly employed by any facility associated with this health system within the past year.
Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be considered.
First to float between campuses as needed.
Call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination.
This department currently has one scanner, with a second one in the process of being replaced.
Candidates will be required to float to cover other areas as needed.
Common types of imaging and studies performed include cardiac, HIDA, bone scan, gastric emptying, GI bleed, lung, brain death, and DAT scans.
The average number of scans performed per day is 12, including 2 cardiac scans.
The department uses MEDITECH for charting and Fuji Synapse PACS for imaging.
Department specific equipment includes the Siemens Symbia T6.
Radiologists are in-house until 5 PM and read remotely until midnight.
Candidates must start IVs as applicable to the department.
Weekend and holiday requirements are in place.
On-call duty is required.
Black scrubs are provided for clothing.
Cancellation policy allows for cancellation of up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
