About the Position

Job Title: RN - OR Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: Seasonal Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current hospital acute care OR RN experience License: Valid RN license Certifications: BLS & ACLS Must-Have: Candidates must have at least 1 year of current hospital acute care OR RN experience. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: This is a seasonal travel RN position in the operating room. The unit has 23 operating rooms and a staff of approximately 70. Day shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1-3 sitters. Patient ratios for the day shift are 1:1. The technology used in the unit includes electronic medical records. Typical procedures performed include elective surgical cases such as orthopedics, spine, general surgery, cardiovascular, plastics, gynecology, robotics, and urology. There is no trauma surgery performed in this unit. Candidates with experience in orthopedic, spine, and cardiovascular procedures will be considered first. Ideal candidates will be flexible and able to work in a teamwork environment. The unit offers opportunities to work with new equipment and technology.
