Patient Population: Obstetric & Gynecologic Patients

Setting: Hospital & Clinic

Responsibilities:

• Provide 24-hour in-house OB/GYN call coverage
• Manage Labor & Delivery services
• Handle unassigned OB/GYN hospital call
• Perform routine OB/GYN procedures and minor gynecologic surgeries
• Supervise and manage residents
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary women's health team

Support Staff:

• 5 Board-Certified OB/GYN Physicians
• 5 Advanced Clinical Practitioners
• 1 Certified Nurse Midwife

Practice Volume:

• 70-75 Deliveries Per Month
• 20-25 Non-Obstetrical Surgeries Per Month

EMR System: Epic

Hospital Details:

• 146-Bed Acute Care Medical Center
• Level II Nursery
• 280+ Physician Medical Staff

Coverage Needed:

• 4-8 In-House 24-Hour Call Shifts Per Month
• Up to 2 Consecutive 24-Hour Shifts Allowed

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
• Active Virginia License (Licensing Assistance Available)
• DEA Required
• Minimum 2-3 Years of Experience (5+ Preferred)
• Strong OB/GYN Background Required
• Resident Teaching Experience Preferred

Preferred Certifications:

• EFM
• NRP
• PALS
