Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical resource supporting field service activities related to extrusion equipment, plastics processing systems, filtration systems, and industrial machinery.
• Conduct onsite inspections, technical surveys, and process evaluations at customer facilities to diagnose and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Assist customers with startup support, equipment performance evaluations, maintenance recommendations, and process optimization.
• Develop detailed technical reports documenting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
• Provide remote and onsite troubleshooting support via telephone, email, video conferencing, and customer visits.
• Partner with customers to identify root causes of process and equipment inefficiencies and build trusted relationships with production, maintenance, engineering, and management personnel.
• Deliver technical product training and best-practice guidance to customers.
• Travel regularly to customer sites to support installations, assessments, and operational improvement initiatives.
• Support sales efforts by participating in customer meetings, technical presentations, product demonstrations, and providing technical input for proposals and quotations.
• Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, and operations teams to communicate customer feedback and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate service reports, customer visit summaries, expense reports, and CRM data; track issues through resolution and provide updates to leadership.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in field service, industrial maintenance, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or technical customer support.
• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
• Experience supporting extrusion equipment, plastics processing, filtration systems, or related manufacturing technologies strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Working knowledge of extrusion processes and industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, mechanical schematics, and technical documentation.
• Understanding of continuous improvement and problem-solving methodologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Excellent customer-facing skills and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to identify growth opportunities and support sales efforts.
• Self-directed, highly accountable, and comfortable working independently in the field.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a sense of urgency.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout North America with valid driver's license; ability to obtain a passport preferred.
