Echo Technologist in Hamden, CT

Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services as an Echo Technician, utilizing your expertise in echocardiography to support patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification or credentialing as an Echo Tech or Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS, RCS, or equivalent).
• Demonstrated proficiency in performing echo procedures including 2D, M-mode, Doppler, and color flow.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and in-depth knowledge of cardiac anatomy and pathology.
• Ability to accurately prepare reports and communicate findings to physicians.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient interaction.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced hospital or healthcare setting highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed echocardiograms as ordered, ensuring quality imaging that meets clinical standards.
• Prepare patients for procedures while clearly explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
• Maintain detailed electronic records and assist with the accurate management of patient data.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other medical professionals to discuss imaging results and patient care plans.
• Ensure the imaging equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and ready for daily operation.
• Uphold all safety standards and infection control policy throughout each shift.
