Network Technician

Network TechnicianWe are seeking a Network Technician to join our team supporting US Air Force Air Mobility Command Base Infrastructure modernization.Responsibilities:Installs, configures, tests, documents, and troubleshoots network equipment and supporting infrastructure during AMC BAN modernization. Works from approved designs and method-of-procedure packages to rack, cable, label, power, configure, and validate switches, routers, wireless components, HAIPE devices, and network management connections while protecting mission operations.Required Skills:3 years of experienceMust have an active Secret clearanceInstallation, staging, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of enterprise network equipmentBasic Cisco and/or Juniper switching and routing configurationCopper/fiber patching, optics, labeling, rack installation, cable management, and port mappingAbility to read network diagrams, floor plans, rack elevations, port maps, and implementation proceduresBasic IPv4/IPv6, VLAN, switching, routing, PoE, and connectivity troubleshootingExecution of maintenance-window tasks, validation checks, rollback steps, and closeout documentationAccurate asset/configuration documentation and disciplined change controlSafe work practices in active communications and mission facilitiesCertifications:DoD 8140 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE) plus applicable OEM or role-specific technical certificationWork Environment and Physical Demands:Location: MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL and Charleston AFB, SCType of environment: OnsiteNoise level: MediumWork schedule: Schedule is day shift Monday – Friday. The salary range displayed is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements.
