Expo/Food RunnerThe Expo/Food Runner is primarily responsible for expediting food from the kitchen as well as clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables for the next guest. Secondary responsibilities include assisting servers in providing excellent guest service, and the proper maintenance, stocking, and cleaning of side stations, floors, furniture, and restrooms.Compensation & Benefits:$15.50 to $16.30 per hour plus tipsPaid Sick LeaveFlexible scheduleDiscounts on mealsCareer advancement opportunitiesDuties & Responsibilities:Ensuring food is going out to the guests in a timely manner and correctly, making sure to check for all modifications including allergies.Communicating with both the chef and the cooks effectively.Cleaning and sweeping the dining areas of the restaurant, cleaning, sanitizing, and resetting each table for the next guest, taking out the garbage, stocking stations with necessary supplies, and cleaning the bathrooms.Anticipate guests' and coworkers' needs and exceed guest service expectations.Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.Respond urgently and appropriately to guests' and coworkers' needs.Exhibit a professional appearance and mannerisms.Ensure guests are enjoying their experience and take action to correct any problems.Concludes the guest experience by acknowledging choice of establishment and inviting patrons to return.Complete assigned sidework at the beginning, during, and at end of shift.Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.About The Brigantine Family of Restaurants:The Brigantine, Inc. has over 20 restaurants in 6 concepts throughout San Diego County: The Brigantine Seafood and Oyster Bar, Miguel's Cocina, Ketch Brewing, Ketch Grill and Taps, Topsail, and Portside Coffee & Gelato. We offer on-the-job training.A desire to help where needed and work as part of a team.Ability to work positively and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire bar area and service wells.Excellent communication skills.Exceptional attention to detail.Exhibit a professional appearance and mannerisms.Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.Must be able to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, and wipe for extended periods of time.Must be able to carry trays and supplies (up to 50 lbs.).Food Handler Certification.
