Are you an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager who takes ownership of your accounts and enjoys building lasting relationships with clients?

We are looking for an experienced insurance professional to join our team in Burlington, MA . This is primarily a commercial lines account management position , with some personal lines responsibilities as needed.

The ideal candidate is someone who knows commercial insurance, understands the importance of exceptional client service, can communicate effectively with carriers and underwriters, and is capable of managing accounts from renewal through day-to-day servicing with minimal supervision.

This is an in-office position for someone who wants to become a valued and trusted member of an established insurance agency.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Manage and service an assigned book of commercial insurance accounts
• Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding their insurance needs
• Manage the complete renewal process from initial review through policy issuance
• Obtain and review renewal information, applications, loss runs, and other required documentation
• Market and remarket accounts when appropriate
• Prepare and submit new business and renewal applications to insurance carriers
• Assist with writing and developing new business
• Communicate directly with clients, producers, insurance company underwriters, and carrier representatives
• Review policies, endorsements, audits, and other insurance documents for accuracy
• Process endorsements, policy changes, cancellations, reinstatements, and other servicing requests
• Handle certificates of insurance and evidence of insurance
• Assist clients with billing and policy questions
• Identify potential coverage gaps and bring opportunities to the attention of clients and producers
• Assist producers with new business submissions, proposals, and account development
• Maintain accurate and current account information in the agency management system
• Follow up on outstanding items and ensure deadlines are met
• Assist with personal lines accounts when needed
• Provide a consistently high level of professional customer service

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial lines insurance experience
• Minimum 3 years of P&C licensing experience
• Active Property & Casualty insurance license
• Strong knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance
• Demonstrated experience managing and servicing a commercial book of business
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverages and policies
• Experience with commercial renewals and new business
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
• Professional, dependable, and client-focused
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
• Ability and willingness to work full-time in our Burlington, MA office

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Special Agent insurance agency management system
• Experience working with small and middle-market commercial accounts
• Experience working with multiple commercial insurance carriers
• Knowledge of the Massachusetts commercial insurance market
• Experience with Commercial Package Policies and Business Owners Policies

• Experience handling more complex commercial accounts

The Person We're Looking For

We are looking for more than someone who simply processes transactions.

The right person will take ownership of their accounts , stay ahead of renewals, communicate proactively with clients, and follow through until issues are resolved.

You should be comfortable dealing directly with clients, speaking with underwriters, solving problems, reviewing coverage, handling deadlines, and working closely with producers.
