Epic Training Manager

Leads the enterprise Epic training program, overseeing training strategy, curriculum, staff, readiness, and effectiveness for Epic implementations, upgrades, workflow changes, and ongoing optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Epic training team, including trainers, curriculum development, and training operations.Develop and maintain enterprise Epic training strategies, curricula, materials, and training standards.
• Coordinate training activities for Epic upgrades, implementations, workflow changes, and new functionality.
• Partner with Epic application managers, analysts, clinical/business leaders, and governance groups to assess training needs and readiness.
• Establish training plans, schedules, communications, and readiness milestones for system changes.
• Monitor training completion, effectiveness, competency, and user feedback; develop corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure training content aligns with approved Epic workflows, organizational policies, and operational requirements.
• Support go-live and post-go-live training activities, including at-the-elbow support when appropriate.
• Standardize training processes across DSOHF facilities while accommodating differences in behavioral health, long-term care, developmental disability, and other clinical environments.
• Provide regular status reporting, performance metrics, risks, and recommendations to Epic leadership.
