Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

Contract | Rotating Shifts | 12-Hour Shifts (Days and/or Nights) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent nursing care across labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP) for Level 1 Obstetric and Nursery patients.
• Triage obstetric patients and manage common diagnoses including pre-eclampsia and well-controlled gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).
• Titrate drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, and occasional insulin per physician orders.
• Perform and document continuous Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) using the GE CPN monitor system/Novii.
• Participate in on-call rotation (2 twelve-hour call shifts per 4-week schedule, 1900–0730) with a one-hour response time requirement.
• Float to other departments as needed on low-census days in an RN or CNA helper capacity.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing.
• Minimum 2–3 years of OB experience with independent competency in labor, postpartum, and newborn care.
• Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and EFM certifications required.
• Competency with EFM documentation and monitoring equipment.
• Ability to titrate obstetric drips (Pitocin, Magnesium, insulin).
• Flexibility to work days, nights, or straight nights; 2 weekends per 4-week schedule and every other holiday required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN certification preferred.
• Experience with Neopuff T-Piece (neonatal resuscitation equipment).
• Familiarity with AWHONN staffing ratio guidelines.
