Rhino Medical is seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a full-time locum tenens opportunity in Reading, Pennsylvania . This hospital-based assignment offers a diverse surgical case mix, consistent weekday scheduling, and the opportunity to provide anesthesia services across multiple procedural specialties.

The ideal candidate is a clinically versatile CRNA comfortable supporting general surgery, specialty procedures, obstetric anesthesia, and hospital-wide airway management. This position is exclusively seeking a full-time provider available for four 10-hour shifts each week.

• Practice Setting: Hospital-based anesthesia services
• Coverage: Surgical anesthesia, procedural anesthesia, labor and delivery, and hospital-wide intubations

Anesthesia Case Mix

• General surgery
• Gynecologic surgery
• Orthopedic surgery
• Labor and delivery
• Cardiac catheterization laboratory
• Cardiovascular laboratory
• Interventional radiology
• Hospital-wide intubations and airway management

Clinical Responsibilities

• Deliver anesthesia care for a broad range of surgical and procedural cases.
• Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and assess patient readiness for planned procedures.
• Develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans appropriate to patient needs and procedural requirements.
• Administer and monitor anesthesia throughout surgical and interventional procedures.
• Provide anesthesia services for obstetric patients in labor and delivery.
• Support anesthesia coverage for cardiac catheterization, cardiovascular laboratory, and interventional radiology procedures.
• Respond to hospital-wide intubation needs and perform advanced airway management.
• Monitor patient stability and respond appropriately to changes in clinical condition.
• Coordinate perioperative care with surgeons, anesthesiology colleagues, nursing staff, and procedural teams.
• Complete accurate anesthesia documentation and communicate relevant clinical information during patient transitions.

Required Qualifications

• Current Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification through the NBCRNA
• Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania nursing licensure with appropriate CRNA practice authorization
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated clinical experience delivering anesthesia in hospital-based surgical settings
• Competency in general anesthesia and advanced airway management
• Clinical familiarity with a broad surgical and procedural case mix
• Ability to provide anesthesia coverage across multiple hospital departments
• Availability to work a consistent, full-time schedule of four 10-hour shifts weekly

Preferred Experience

• Previous locum tenens or hospital-based anesthesia experience
• Obstetric anesthesia and labor and delivery coverage
• Orthopedic and gynecologic surgical anesthesia
• Cardiac catheterization and cardiovascular procedural anesthesia
• Interventional radiology anesthesia
• Hospital-wide emergency airway response and intubation experience
