Instructor Job Description Job Details Job Location: PS 682/686 - Brooklyn, NY 11204 Position Type: Part Time Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00 Hourly About NIA Community Services: Founded in 1981, the NIA Community Services Network is a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing issues that impact youth, families, and seniors. The NIA serves thousands of clients each year through after-school programs, summer day camps, cultural arts opportunities, youth and family counseling services, community assistance, referral services, and senior support programs. Visit us at Instructor for after-school programs are responsible for planning and leading structured activities for students in grades K-5. For this role we are looking for someone with yoga and fitness experience. Duties / Responsibilities Successfully lead after-school activities with groups of up to 20 students for grades K‑5 Work collaboratively with co‑workers who assist in the classroom Submit written lesson plans in a timely manner Effectively manage the classroom and address student behavior issues in a positive, professional manner Communicate clearly and positively with students, co‑workers, and supervisors Maintenance of the classroom and supplies MUST be available, on‑time, and prepared to work during assigned hours, for three hours a day, between 2:00PM and 6:00PM (Exact hours vary depending upon location).
