Therapy Medical Physicist

The Role We are searching for a highly skilled Therapy Medical Physicist to join our dedicated team of experts. Our candidates must be well-trained in Radiation Oncology and be able to work in a collaborative team environment. Clinic Information: This position is located in Baltimore, MD and will be also supporting surrounding areas. This clinic has a 2020 Varian Halcyon Up to 40 patients per day, mostly prostate Treatment planning systems include Aria & Eclipse. This role will partner with a great team of several physicists, dosimetrist (onsite and remote), and physicians. What You’ll Do Perform weekly and monthly radiation measurements, as well as yearly calibration on all treatment units. Monitor equipment in the Radiation Oncology Department to ensure that it is functioning correctly and safely. Maintain regulatory agency records and reports. Analyze alternative treatment plans and supervise dosimetry treatment planning functions. Implement assessment/treatment and care based on the developmental stages of the patient. Perform additional duties, as needed. What You’ll Need Master’s Degree and/or PhD in Medical Physics. A board certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics, or board eligibility as demonstrated by graduation from a CAMPEP accredited residency in therapy physics. 2+ years of clinical Therapy Medical Physics experience preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret regulations. A willingness to go “above and beyond” for clients and fellow colleagues. Demonstrate initiative, organization, and ownership of daily tasks and projects. Ability to problem solve by seeking, developing, and implementing viable solutions. Physical Requirements Requires ability to use and move equipment. Requires a variety of physical activities including sitting, standing, walking, stopping, lifting, carrying. Exposure to radiation, communicable diseases, and other conditions common to radiation therapy setting. Competitive compensation. PTO plan with paid company holidays.
