Bankruptcy Paralegal Position Summary This Bankruptcy Paralegal position is responsible for assisting with creditor legal proceedings, handling high-volume paperwork, conducting research, and preparing court filings. They must communicate cross-functionally with clients, courts, and attorneys in a timely and professional manner. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has strong organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service. Bankruptcy Paralegal Job Responsibilities Prepare and e-file legal documents with a focus on accuracy and compliance. Service as a key point of contact; responding promptly to inquiries via email, phone, and voicemail. Provide clear, accurate updates on case status and escalate complex matters as needed. Maintain and update case files, track deadlines, and ensure the timely progression of cases through the legal process. Perform data entry, maintain case management systems, and ensure all documentation adheres to internal standard operating procedures and external regulatory requirements. Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor(s). Required Qualifications And Skills High school diploma required; Associate\'s degree or higher preferred. 1-3 years of bankruptcy or creditors\' rights paralegal experience required; 4+ years preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of Michigan court procedures and filing requirements.
