Registered Nurse - Med-Surg/Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

This position requires a 12-hour night shift, working three shifts per week with availability for block scheduling. Flexibility to work every other weekend is also an option.

Job Description

Join our dynamic team on a 33-bed medical-surgical floor equipped with 16 telemetry monitors. The ideal candidate will engage in providing high-quality patient care to diverse populations, including orthopedic, bariatric, and cardiology patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions utilizing telemetry.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist in post-operative care for orthopedic and bariatric patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Active nursing license is required.
• Experience with Meditech EMR is beneficial.
