At a Glance You’re a motivated student with a current 3.0 GPA or higher seeking a currently pursuing a degree in one of the following areas from an accredited college or university: Communications, Human Resources, IOS Psychology, Journalism This is a paid, full-time, 11-week internship designed to give you real-world experience and meaningful exposure to the telecommunications industry in your chosen field. Internship program runs from May 26 through August 6, 2027. In addition to role-specific projects, you’ll take part in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, mentorship, and experiences that help you grow personally and professionally. What you can expect in this role As a Spectrum intern, you’ll spend the summer working alongside two teams: your respective department and your intern cohort. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on internship experiences that include a kickoff conference, professional development sessions and networking activities, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects, and final presentations. This experience is designed to help you explore your interests, expand your network, and leave with a deeper understanding of both your field and the impact of our business. Internship responsibilities may include: The Human Resources Intern will support the Spectrum News HR team, serving as a strategic partner to newsroom leaders and a key liaison across recruiting, finance, payroll, and development. This internship offers hands‑on experience supporting a variety of HR initiatives that impact the entire employee lifecycle. Assist with onboarding and orientation activities for new hires, support learning & development initiatives, compile HR metrics and prepare reports using MS Office tools, research industry trends and best practices, provide administrative support for the HR team and assist with special projects.
