Job Title Adjunct Biology Instructor Institution South Central College Classification Community College Faculty Location North Mankato & Faribault campus, Minnesota Employment Condition Unclassified - Limited Academic (Fixed Term) Salary $24,800.00 - $52,800.00 Job Description South Central College is seeking adjunct Biology Instructors who are dedicated to excellence in teaching and desire to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. The position will be based at both the North Mankato and Faribault campuses. The instructor will be responsible for classroom and lab instruction to students participating in the program and will work as a team member to maintain a learning environment that meets postsecondary educational requirements. The instructor is also responsible for maintaining accurate academic records in a computerized learning management system, including attendance, grades, and class/course syllabi for each class taught. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree with a major in biology Master’s degree in any discipline/field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in biology Preferred Qualifications Post-Secondary Teaching Experience Experience instructing a range of Biology courses Experience instructing in multiple course delivery modalities Experience preparing and instructing laboratory courses Other Requirements South Central College is unable to sponsor applicants for work visas.
