Job Category:Temporary/OtherJob Family:InternJob Description:Job DescriptionThe duties of the Engineering Co-Op will be focused on supporting the execution of projects in our facilities located in Richland Center, WI.Relocation Assistance is provided if relocating 50 miles or more for this internship.*This is a co-op where you would take a semester and work for 6 months**We are looking for May - December 2026 ORJanuary - August 2027*This is a paid co-op and is $24 an hourThis individual will work closely with plant Operations and Maintenance teams.What you'll do:Establishing design criteria for new equipment Creating layouts Evaluating alternatives to choose the best solutionAssist with the overall programming on the operations plant floor systems.Contact OEM’s to obtain equipment specifications, layouts and quotations.Collaborating with the Finance Team to analyze cost-benefitManaging vendors and contractorsConducting/Assisting with factory acceptance testsOverseeing/Assisting with equipment installation and start-upsCreating electrical drawingsManaging small capital projectsDeveloping and troubleshooting programming with Rockwell Automation PLCsDeveloping and troubleshooting HMI Touchscreen and data historian applications (Rockwell Panelviews and GE iFIX)What you will need to succeed:Completed Sophomore-level status or higher toward a BS degree in an Engineering program (Electrical, Automation, Mechanical, Chemical, Biological, Food Engineering or Manufacturing preferred)Ability to work 40 hours/week, January-August 2025Effective communications skillsAbility to work well with Plant Partners, Engineering Partners, as well as Partners in other departmentsAbility to take ownership of assignments and complete them on time and accuratelyDesire to grow and take on new challenges/opportunitiesDesired requirements: (Experience desired, but training will be available)Drafting using AutoCADPLC programmingOperator Interface programmingTechnical writing/research skillsInternship benefits:Opportunity to complete real-world projects, participate in team meetings and contribute your ideasExposure to different areas of the business around the worldInternship program that includes engaging events and opportunities to build relationships at all levelsRelocation assistance (for eligible internships)Rewards program for referring othersEight free counseling sessions through our Employee Assistance ProgramCompany-provided retirement contributions per year through our 401(k) plan and Employee Stock Ownership PlanVolunteer opportunities to give back to the communityDiscounts on our products and moreFor positions that require any amount of travel: Valid driver's license, auto insurance (at least state minimum- more might be required), acceptable driving record per Schreiber Foods discretion, and vehicle that will ensure applicant can meet the travel necessities of the position are required.Schreiber requires that an employee have authorization to work in the country in which the role is based.
